METHODS OF HARMONIZATION THROUGH THE FIVE SENSES

 

 

VATA (AIR) DOSHA

Tactile (touch) – daily light massage of the whole body (especially the scalp and legs) with warm sesame or almond oil. All oils should be cold-pressed (unrefined oils)

Olfaction (fragrance) – sweet, soft, warm smells (geranium, lemon, neroli, nutmeg, cinnamon).

Vision (colors) – warm and moist colors, white, yellow, orange, red, pastel shades of these colors, bright and joyful, but not very bright.

Taste (food) – with a predominance of sweet, sour, and salty.

Hearing (sounds) – soft music with low tones.

 
PITTA (FIRE) DOSHA

Tactile (touch) – a daily massage of moderate strength with warm olive, sunflower, or coconut oil. All oils should be cold-pressed (unrefined oils)

Olfaction (fragrance) – fragrant, cool smells (sandalwood, rose, jasmine, cardamom, fennel).

Vision (colors) – blue, pink, green, soft pastel tones.

Taste (food) – with a predominance of sweet, bitter, and astringent taste.

Hearing (sounds) – soft music with medium-pitch tones.

 

 KAPHA (EARTH) DOSHA

Tactile (touch) – daily dry massage is energetic, deep, for example, shiatsu. Sometimes you can use warm, spicy, stimulating mustard or corn oil for massage. All oils should be cold-pressed (unrefined oils)

Olfaction (fragrance) – sharp, penetrating fragrances (ginger, eucalyptus, bergamot, camphor, clove, mint).

Vision (colors) – warm and rich, stimulating colors, such as red, purple, orange, gold, yellow.

Taste (food) – with a predominance of spicy, bitter, and astringent taste.

Hearing (sounds) – loud music with high tones.
